Hey, I’m Gemma, the face behind Captured by Gem.
I’m a wedding and family content creator based in Colchester, capturing the real, in-between moments of your day as they naturally unfold.

Mum to two little boys (6 and 4), I first picked up my camera to document the magic in our everyday life, moments shared on my Instagram @life_with_the_grays_ that slowly turned into a full-blown love for storytelling.
What started as capturing memories for my own family has grown into capturing once-in-a-lifetime memories for others.

On your wedding day, I’m there to film both video and photos in real time - from emotional vows to blink-and-you’ll-miss-it giggles, quiet glances, and all the magic in between. You’ll wake up the next morning to a camera roll full of raw clips, edited photos, and a cinematic highlight video - all delivered within 24 hours.

As a mum, I’m naturally always one step ahead. I’m not just there to capture content, I’m your behind-the-scenes wing girl. Fluffing your dress, holding your bouquet, calming nerves, fixing veils, catching tears, and documenting moments you didn’t even realise were happening. Quietly present. Gently supportive.
